About Me

My photo
Mercedes Guzman
Thank you to all of my art instructors over the years, they are: Sheila Harrity, Don Byrd, Ron Libbrecht, Stephen Jones and Min Li. Of how I started to paint, I had always had the desire, but because of family obligations, I didn't have an opportunity until 1981 when I enrolled in a class at the Torrance Adult School. My first teacher, Sheila Harrity, was instrumental in allowing me to develop my style. Currently with my instructor's guidance, I am able to further expand my abilities as an artist. My teachers' vision and flexibility of style has provided me with an outlet in which to demonstrate my art, something I really treasure.
